The base engine of the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is powered by a turbocharged 2.7-liter 4-cylinder engine that generates 310 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque. There are also three available engine options, such as:
Rear-wheel drive and eight-speed automatic transmission are standard on the Silverado 1500, and four-wheel drive and a 10-speed automatic transmission are available.
The base model of the Silverado 1500 is the WT and it’s stocked full of standard features for the interior, exterior, technology, and safety and driver assistance features.
The standard interior features include a front bench seat and vinyl upholstery, while the technology features are equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen, two-speaker stereo, two USB ports, a 3.5-inch display embedded in the analog gauge cluster, and wired Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™.
The safety and driver assistance features include lane-keep assist, rearview camera, lane-departure warning, forward collision warning, forward automatic emergency braking, and pedestrian detection. The exterior has features like automatic high-beam headlights.
The Silverado 1500 Custom welcomes several new features to its lineup, including cloth upholstery and a power-adjustable driver’s seat to its interior. Two additional USB ports, wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, Wi-Fi Hotspot, and satellite radio were added to the technology features.
The exterior welcomed features like a Class IV hitch receiver, power locking tailgate, remote start, and 20-inch alloy wheels. Cruise Control was added to the safety and driver assistance features.
The Silverado 1500 LT rolls many of the same features over from the previous models, but it does add a 13.4-inch touchscreen and 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster to its technology features. A locking rear differential, 17-inch wheels, proximity keyless entry, and LED headlights were added to the exterior features. The interior gained features like dual-zone automatic climate control.
The Silverado 1500 RST carries many of the same safety and driver assistance, interior, and technology features as the models before it; however, it does add fog lights and 18-inch wheels to its exterior.
The standard features on the Silverado 1500 Trail Boss are based on either the LT or Custom trims, and it adds to its performance aspect with the addition of two-speed transfer case, four-wheel drive, mud-terrain tires, Z71 shock absorbers, 2-inch suspension lift, and skid plates.
The Silverado 1500 LTZ has interior features like leather upholstery and a power-adjustable passenger seat. The exterior welcomed 20-inch wheels, an integrated trailer brake controller, and a power-operated tailgate to its features list. Wireless device charging, a seven-speaker stereo, and two more USB ports were added to the technology list. The safety and driver assistance features gained features like rain-sensing windshield wipers, safety alert seat, rear cross-traffic alert, front and rear parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring, and surround-view parking camera system.
The Silverado 1500 High Country welcomed side steps, a power-operated rear window, and a spray-on bed liner to the exterior features, while its interior features gained heated and ventilated front seats and heated rear seats.
The Silverado 1500 ZR2 adds to the standard features of the High Country with the addition of 33-inch tires, a 2-inch suspension lift, heavy-duty skid plates, high-performance Multimatic dampers, and front and rear locking differentials to its performance equipment.
